hey again. Just wondered about if you had heard of who they have cast to play Diana and faye and Adam? Diana kind of looks like how I imagined except she has brown hair and Faye looks exactly right. Adam I'm not sure about though I am still excited to watch it! Hope that you are feeling better. It is awful about vd but I am sure that whatever you do will be just as brilliant am excited for all your sequels I am hearing about and STRANGE FATE!! hint...hint lol

I must admit after reading some of the changes that have been made to the SC television series, I can safely say it will not be a show that I will watch. TSC series were the only books Ive read by LJ Smith and I really enjoyed them. It was a nice pace from vampires. Unfortunately, the show does not appear as though it will do the books justice and that's rather disappointing. Perhaps the only good thing that will come of this is a sequel to the SC either done by the author or a ghost writer. Either way, the book should just remain a book.

I've loved the times bamon at midnight even though the end was sad about what was said by elena damon about that in my opinion only pays for some fans say that you wanted a final and non bamon Delena or stelena and was dismissed for that reason

I trust you so he has become my favorite writer and as never said she was fired for these exact reasons

I really did love all of the Bamon scenes in Midnight and hope that there will be more. I am fully aware that Damon is in love with Elena, but there is also Stefan and Bonnie to consider. I really like how Bonnie brings out Damon's softer side. I'm a total sucker for bad-boys going soft (At least for a little while). I was kind of sad about the end, but I know that the next book will be great and I can't wait for more explosive action! I wish the next book would come out sooner! (Like Tomorrow)

bonnie and maybe a new guy to make him jealous to Damon and know that not only loves elena but their bird

Huh, I never thought of it like that. I think you are right though. There could be another character to make Damon jealous and set everything right again. By that I mean, Damon would realize how jealous he is about Bonnie meeting some other guy (maybe even Mutt) and then Elena might see how well Bonnie and Damon fit and fall back in love with Stefan. It could work! I don't know if that is exactly what you were trying to say, Brenda, but maybe that could be a good idea. It would make it interesting with another person added to the original love triangle. It might be a good change of pace, who knows?

I love it when Damon goes soft, but I love how it's always a mystery to figure out what he's going to do next. You can never tell what goes through Damon's head until he does it. I can not WAIT for the next book! I am a huge fan of Bamon, but don't always frown upon Delena. But I do think that Elena and Stefan belong together from the start. To me, having Damon and Elena together is unpredictable, and very explosive (I don't mean it rudely, or in a bad way, but it sometimes gets to be a little too much). Both Elena and Damon are very strong and independent people. They both need someone to take care of, to watch over, and to be watched over. Elena needs Stefan because he can change her like no one else can. He changed her drastically from the beginning of the series and continues to make her a better person. Damon needs Bonnie because she makes him sweet, kind, and soft. She brings out the better side of him. She can even make him feel bad and want to appologize and take it all back.

I do love the bad-boy Damon, and being with Bonnie would not drain him completely of his wild side. I think that being with Bonnie would just give him a better chance to become a better person and 'redeem himself.' By watching and taking care of Bonnie, he would gain a little more resposibiliy with his actions. Even though Bonnie forgives him time and time again, she still has the power to make him feel bad or guilty about what he had done. I think that Bonnie could be a good fit for him and would do him well becoming more responsible and grown up, I guess. I don't know another way to put it.

Yeah, I do love the bad stuff! He always did something to make someone angry. I think it's a little more fun now though, with both Elena and Bonnie to chose from. Now that Damon is a little more soft on Bonnie, it almost seems like a new love triangle has arisen. I love it when Damon is bad, it makes him unpredictable and a lose cannon, but it is also fun to watch him go sweet for Bonnie and other humans for a little while. Damon has a lot of mood swings, so you never know when he'll be good and then turn bad the next moment, although to me, he doesn't seem to do that around Bonnie as much as around Elena. I think he loves Elena, but he is also starting to love Bonnie as well.

I thought i had read every vampire book there was then one day i saw a girl reading Night world by L.j smith. I knew the name from Vampire dairies and, sorry!, i hated those books. it was a little something taken from many books in one. And the girl her name starts with a e forgot it though, lifeless! Despite my thoughts on those books I picked up night world 1 =, the story of Poppy and james and my hooked!. Everything i loved about vampires and witches everything i feared in the dark all brought together into a magical set of books. I fell in love. i read the next and the next and then it felt as if i was drugged i had to the what happened. Then i found Dark Visions and the idea of physics that feed on energy. ugh amazing. Just when i thought i'd read it all i found Forbidden Game. I'm in the last lap of that. Julian the Devilish charming tricking Shadow man and his prey Jenny. My point being these books changed my life and the way i view fantasy. TWILIGHT GOT NOTHING NO YOU!

Wait, so LJ Smith is not just writing the book on her own? She has to share it with someone else? That's madness! She should be able to write for herself. (Sorry, I guess this has been going on for a while. I'm totally out of the loop) I can't believe it!

I'm sure it will still be good, though. LJ Smith is still writing it, so it will be good. I just wish it would come out sooner so I could pick it up right now and see what happens!

Tell me about it! I LOVED the Forbidden Game. It was definitely one of my most favorite LJ Smith books (and that's saying a lot since all of her books are exceptionally amazing!). I cannot wait for her upcoming books. I hope to see Phantom and Strange Fate out soon. I hope also to see some sequels to previous series including the one we are disscussing now. I can't wait for another of LJ's genius ideas to come out on paper in stores.

I am completely outraged! How can they do this to LJ Smith! She created it and continued the series, so what's going to happen when we're left right in the middle and now they bring in some other person! It's crazy! This is LJ Smith's writing and she should be writing the book not some unknown author who only gets paid to write someone else's work for them! I can't believe it! What has happened to our world?!
Has it been entirely confirmed that LJ is NOT AT ALL writing the next book or is it still a debate? I hope that it can't be true! The series needs LJ Smith to write it! It should be hers anyway, she wrote it herself! Is she at least sharing it with someone? That's bad enough, but at least she would be a part of it! Please someone write back as soon as you can to confirm or deny that LJ has been completely kicked off. Please!!!

I have to respectfully disagree about Delena. I know that there are a lot of fans out there rooting for them, but I am a Bamon fan. However, the thought of Bonnie and Sage? Now there's an interesting idea. It's too quick for me to decide whether I like it or not, but I'd have to be blind not to see the connection between them. I know that Bonnie was very glad to see him, and Sage helped her a lot, and Sage would take good care of Bonnie. But, I don't know if it would comepletely work out. Sage would probably be gone on council stuff a lot or wherever he goes to, and Bonnie would be alone. I think that Sage and Bonnie have more or a friendly relationship or a sibling kind of relationship than a serious one. Who knows though, it could be a possibility.

Sage is the big Hurcules vampire with the large hellhound Saver, and the Halk or Falcon or whatever it is, Talon. Sage has saved Damon from being beat up, and stayed at the boarding house before leaving suddenly. He was there when Damon had a sudden transformation caused by the white kitsune. I won't say what it is, but if you read the books yet, you will know.

Sage I like to take care of my bonnie and maybe you can not aser very good friends that would be amazing but a relationship is too early sage I would like to develop feelings for bonnie either fraternal or to leave falling in love

perhaps someone beside bonnie without giving any measure as a second option damon values and examine how he feels about it, bonnie deserves someone like her friend rather than "perfect" elena gilbert, and then viewed as unique.

Yes! I love love LOVE Bamon! If it weren't for Damon, Bonnie could be a mindless robot piercing herself or forking her tounge, or dead by now! Damon always answers Bonnie's calls and would never leave her completely unprotected. Even in Midnight, he tried to leave her with the landlady and the employees to watch over and escort her every day. Bonnie was the one that rebeled and charmed that employee to let her out. But then when she got hung up with Shinichi, Damon was about to pop off some heads to save her! They definitely have a strong connection that just CAN NOT be denied. Damon needs to keep Bonnie safe and comfort her. She's the only one that can really bring out a soft side to Damon Salvatore. Elena tries, but sometimes she just ends up pissing him off. But Bonnie made Damon feel so bad when kept her in the brown room that he kept apologizing (which is something he never does) and he offered to give her anything she wanted. Damon is perfect for Bonnie. I LOVE Bamon!!!!!

They got sooo much passion and love......I feel like these two characters mirror each other..... like they have one soul. I recommend The Forbidden Game, Dark Visions, and Night World. Those are all AMAZING series from LJ Smith. I haven't gotten to read the Secret Circle, but I heard that it is an amazing series as well. I hope this info helped you!

Thank you for all the wonderful books you have written that have become such a worldwide success. Quoting Elena Gilbert, "I am dying...". Figuratively speaking of course! I have just recently finished reading The Vampire Diaries- The Return- Midnight and I loved every second of it! It was amazing and a wonderful continuation of all the Vampire Diaries books! I just wanted to thank you for sharing these stories with us, you are such an inspiring author to me and thousands of fans across the world. I love The Vampire Diaries and truly hope that you will continue on with them because the end of Midnight left me reeling and pleading to know what will happen to Damon! I love that guy and his wittiness is already dearly missed! I hope that the Fell's Church gang has a few more adventures to come across before their time comes because it is such a joy reading about their quests! That's the point I'm trying to make. Latent means hidden, and he is talking about his sexual preference, he is saying that his heterosexuality is hidden.
At first I just assumed that the sexual preference was hidden, but now I think it may mean that he simply doesn't show any sexual preference at all (generally). As in, he's not the type to gawk at women or obsess over them, unless an extremely striking woman is around (in this scene Elena was supposed to be incredibly breathtaking).

Okay, for all of you who (like me) still did not know that LJ Smith will not be writing the rest of the series, it has been comfirmed. LJ Smith has been replaced by a ghost writer who will be taking her place as author in the series. There still might be some of her work wound in with the rest of the book, but LJ Smith has said herself that she no longer is the sole author of the Vampire Diaries. For more information on this, check out LJ Smith's blogs for 2011.
We are all huge fans and wish that LJ Smith would be writing it, but if we even want a Vampire Diaries at all, I guess we can at least accept that some of LJ's work will be in Phantom. I know that before I was very very opposed to this, but at least LJ might have some of her work added in. (Plus for all the Bamon fans, we may have an outcome more to our liking! ;-))

OR we could unite as a group of consumers and refuse to pay our hard earned money for a substandard imitation. If we all stick together and refuse to buy the books unless Lisa is the ACTUAL author, the publishers might just sit up and take notice. Money talks, and right now the publishing industry for YA is very geared towards readers like us (female readers of YA vamp fiction), meaning they want to keep us happy.

We should stand united and say NO to ghostwriting.

Damon seems to always have a soft spot for Bonnie, I mean in the car with the tree it was because of Bonnie getting hurt that he intervened. You felt him crumble at that moment even though he wasn't in control of himself completely he acted for Bonnie's sake. It makes sense that he thought of Bonnie and Elena both at the end and I can't wait till he finds his way out of six treasures area so he can reunite with Bonnie, hopefully he wont even remember he was in love with Elena, just that she was Bonnie's friend who was crying over him.

I like your thoughts! It might make it a bit more interesting and less devastating for the Delena fans if he is caught between both of them. To me it seems like the series is taking a drastic turn regarding love and love triangles. I'm not saying that this is a bad thing, but to me it seems like everyone loved Stefan at the beggining, and now everyone is in love with Damon. I find that strange but cool. I agree about Bonnie and Damon, but I am also very eager to see where this new love triangle will take us. Who will Damon choose?

My thirteen yr. old got me started reading your books, she is upset over you not finishing vampire diaries she watches the show religiously. She kept telling me this is a good show mom but you gotta read the books I heard it over and over so I read the books and she was so right I share her dismay at you not finishing the series. You would think that the almighty dollar of sales on your books would influence them into letting you finish your series reguardless if they own the final rights they should let you finish what you started. Also I agree with Bonnie and Damon you could always use Sage to make Damon realize he's going to lose Bonnie, so he would give up chasing what his brother has and protect his own interests in Bonnie from Sage. After all Sage did show interest once before even if it was just a dance.

You are very right! I love the thought of Bonnie and Damon. It would be a good idea to have Sage be the one to make Damon jealous and realize he's going to lose his little redbird. I think that Stelena was good from the start, and even though Damon has begun to love Elena, this all started over his jealousy of Stefan. I think that Damon might be a good fit for Bonnie because he is very caring and tender with her. He has never once hurt her and always saves her. There have been times when he called her an idiot or got a little mad with her, but he never did anything to physically hurt her. I do not want to discourage all of the Delena fans, this is just my personal opinion on where I think the course of the series should go.

May name is Ashley and I LOVE your books! And because you are a writer, I decided to tell you very happy news! In our school, there is a contest called "VA Young Authors Contest". I wrote a story about my dog named Sherlock. And in my story it is in the dog's perspective. In the story, Sherlock is a therapy dog and he goes to 3 different children. You get the whole therapy session threw the dog! It first went threw the kids in my class. And out of all my years (Since 1st Grade, now in 8th) I only made it once out of the classroom before. When I made it past I was sooo happy! I later found out that I made i threw teh school, then the county!! And I am currently in SECTINOLS!!

I can see that there is a new love triangle in Fell's Church. When Damon comes back, I predict things are going to heat up between the original love triangle and the new one. I can tell by now that Damon is in love with Elena, but he also has feelings for Bonnie. I don't think either one of them should be put out of the picture yet because in my opinion, it will be very interesting to see what happens between Elena and Stefan, Elena and Bonnie, Bonnie and Damon, and of course, between the two brothers. Finished The Return: Midnight last night. Still digesting it. The thing that has always drawn me to the books is the struggle Elena has between the brothers. That sort of conflict makes for truly powerful storytelling, and I'm glad to say Midnight lives up to the rest of the books.

Well, Bonnie does have some telepathy. She is a psychic and is decendent from witches. I think that also Damon might sometimes go into her head, but he does that with everyone, and Bonnie is known to have telepathy of her own.

Well, personally I can't choose between the Bamon and the Delena couple. But I think Stefan is a bit boring.. I like the mysterious side of Damon. If L.J. Smith is not going to write the next series.. then, maybe the next writer will just focus on Elena and Stefan,.. i don't know. But then, at least, I want to see Damon and Bonni togheter, not just Stefan and Elena. I hope the next writer will give Damon and Bonnie a chance.

SO yeah now that I've finished reading all the books........I definitely comfirmed my love and devotion to Team Delena......... .. They are by far my favorite pair since Mr.Darcy and Elizabeth or Scarlette and Rhett..... Elena plus Damon equals love with a twist!!! I absolutely love everything about this pair!!! There love keeps me on the edge of my seat while at the same time melting heart!!! Weird I know...But Delena does that to me!! I always read super fast so i can always get to the Damon and ELena parts........Th eir scenes are just breath taking.....I hope they can make it through their trials and turbulations in these next few books...They are both strong characters.. their love for one another will never diminish!! Hello, I have branhed out from what i was recomended after burnig through my suply of Night World books and I'm shocked to find out how much you have done and how easy it is to get completly consumed into your stories, how do you do it! You are my all time favorite author of all time and supernatural romance books used to be a guilty pleasure for me and now reading Seret Cirle, Vampire Diaries , Dark Visions and of course Night World it is my favorite genre.And in the only way I could thank you for writing these books I lent out the first volume of all your books to my friends... now maybe you will have many more fans from Scotland!

I love your Vampire Diaries books! I actually started them after watching the first season of the Vampire Diaries TV show, which I love. But I've also loved the books! It was awesome having the TV show but also having the original books themselves to read!

And I've been LOVING all of your new books for The Return Trilogy! AMAZING!!!!! Not done Midnight yet, on page 500 now. I really hope there will be more books, I don't want it to end!!! All the Delena scenes have been amazing!!! I nearly cried at last scene I read with them! There has to be more books!

It's cool, I love Elena and Stefan, but I really love Damon and Elena too. And I want Damon to be happy. Really hoping for more books, and more Delena moments!

OMG! I just went out and bought Midnight and I really couldn't put it down. I finished the whole book in less than three hours. I'm sure you hear this all of the time but I feel I must reiterate. I haven't cried over the death of a character since Julian in TFG. Damon got me. Elena GOT me. I was, and still am, so sad. I love your writing L.J. Smith. You inspire me, and I started reading your books when my Dad handed me the first Vampire Diaries book at Barnes and Noble when I was in 6th grade. I am truly thankful for that, because you opened me up to find other books. Damon and Elena and everybody else will always be in my heart. I actually refused to watch the show at first because Meredith wasn't in it. I started after I read the 2nd trilogy book. Somebody was at the door in the last episode and they were about to say their name, "Who are you?" - "I'd like to speak with ELena. I'm..." OH YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN ME. I was practically mind-shouting, "MEREDITH!?!?! PLEASE BE MEREDITH." Nope. On the whole harper/and alloy thing I find it disgusting. Firing you was purely stupid. BS. And if I am subjected to pages and pages of Stelena and 2 seconds worth of Damon I'm done.

Hi! I've become a fan of yours when I first pick Night World # 1... those 3-in-1 story fiction-book made me go addict about the next up-coming stories! What I like the most of all the Series of Night world are the story of: Delos & Maggie, Hannah & Thierry and Rashel & Quinn. When I have free time at school I open my backpack and re-read the stories on the book everyday! My english teacher even told me if she could borrow one of your books! We were pretty hooked-up on the story everyday! Congratulations , on making the WSJ bestseller list Miss L.J.! I believe that you are one of the better YA authors out there (the violence is always kept to a minimum, and when it is shown is essential to the plot, and the love scenes very tame), and I think it is only reasonable that your sales reflect this. I myself have not bought my copy yet (but I will soon) but I cannot wait. I feel as if everyone is hating on the new trilogy (some of the reviews on Amazon are downright rude) when it is some of the best writing I've read in a long while. I'm soooooo happy for you L J!!! I've read all of your books and you finally got a huge reward for all of your hard work!! Do you think maybe, possiblly now, they'll think of letting you finish the sereies? I'm really upset, I bet the new books won't sell as good as the ones you wrote. I hope those people look at all the book we bought and thing twice about what you're worth now!! Who else agrees?

PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT READ MIDNIGHT DONT READ THIS (MAJOR SPOILERS)
You have always been one of my favorite authors (I have read most of your books) and The Vampire Diaries is my favorite, and I know you said after midnight you wouldnt be writing anymore, but HOW could you just kill Damon off???? I know what it said at the end, but if there are no more books.... He was the BEST character in the series, (in case you havent noticed I am a Delena fan) But still how could you have killed him off?????????? You are such an incredible writer and so talented. And very creative, but I just wanted to let you know how I felt about the end of Midnight. Besides that it was excellent (Though I Think Shadow Souls might have been the best)

You are truly an amazing author and I am devestated that YOU will not be writing anymore TVD books, they wont be any good without you. I really wish you could stay on to finish the series!!!! I wont read the other ones if you are not included!!!!!!! !!!!!
