I read a sneak peek inthe last stefans diaries and elena has a dream thing and damons in it. its in bloddeuwelds palace, but with a normal sun an damon appears, it starts raining ash, they kiss and then she remembers that he's dead. Then he says that all she needs to do is call him, and then he disapears. then elena wakes up in her room and there is a crow but it flies away. Phantom might not be to bad if they dont change L.J's work

The Night World series is going to continue. Lisa is working on the next book, Strange Fate, right now! When she finishes it she will let us know on this site. Just a warning some book selling sites have been posting wrong dates about when Strange Fate will be published. It can be confusing, so only believe publishing info. posted on this site.

A few are about Night World characters. "Those Who Favor Fire" is the continuation of Ash and Mary-Lynette's story. Be warned though it ends in a cliff hanger. I love the Night World series. My favorite is Witchlight, but I definitely want to hear more about the characters from Daughters of Darkness, too.
Please don't destroy the books!!

I'm glad to hear you will read some of Lisa's other books. They are all fabulous, but if you want something similar to TVD, I recommend the Night World series. It is about vampires and other supernatural creatures. Plus there are some Damon-like bad boys to love. You might want to check out the Sneak Peek section on this site. You can read more about some of the Night World stories and The Forbidden Game there.
I happen to like Twilight and TVD. However, I feel that TVD is a far more complex story and the characters are more developed. I’m not sure what you meant about TVD not being able to be as good as Twilight, but I don’t think you meant it as an insult. Maybe you were referring to the craze Twilight has created. I think TVD is better, but I think that a better job was done making the Twilight saga into movies than was done making TVD into a TV series.
I didn't mean that Twilight is better from the Vampire Diaries. I think that the VD are a lot better from Twilight. The characters(in the VD books) are more complex. Each character develops. This requires more attention. These things are making that Vampire Diaries are fantastic. I have never change them for another books. I mean that publishers want strictly Stelena ending because they are thinking that this love story is similar to love story of Bella and Edward.This is the opinion of the publishers. Maybe I am wrong but I am feeling it in this way now. I am thinking that Lisa's idea would be more interesting. For example: Delena ending would be more original.They should follow to the conception of Lisa. Fans love Lisa and her ideas.Alloy will understand it but then would be too late. As for the petition, thanks for letting me know, but I didn't create it so I can't fix it. Do you have Twitter? It will only work if you do. I don't have Twitter, but I figured as long as I signed one, it would be okay. I don't think Alloy will count double signatures anyway.
The petition is working:) this website had to be unavailable for the moment. So we still have a two petitions. I am glad because the quantity of persons who signed the petitions still growing. It mean that people want to fight.Yes, I have an twitter account and I signed two petitions.

Bamon ending also would be good. I hope that Damon will find his happiness. but I am interested in only version of Lisa. I won't read the books which were writing by the other person. It would mean that I read the fan fiction..worse. .something which isn't true.
I heard that Alloy said that we will not see the difference in the way of writing. I think this statement offended readers.they are thinking that we aren't enough intelligent. They are wrong.
I hope that sales of Phantom won't bring the profits.I want see the publishers faces when they see their mistake.

The Night World series are my favorites! I’m sure you’ll love them. There are nine books in the series, but if you get the omnibus edition there will be three stories per book and only three books.

I have a question: Lisa does not want to boycott the Phantom? Yesterday I was reading about this but I don't know if this is true.
It is exciting to watch the number of signatures on the petition grow. I also like reading the comments and seeing that they are from many different places.

I am Delena fan but I don't care about what will happen on the end of VD. the choice is Lisa.I will agree with her decision but it is a one condition: The Vampire Diaries have to be writing by Lisa no by ghostwriter.

I'm not sure if this is right, but I think when L.J says she is going to continue the Mary-Lynette and Ash story she means that it'll be continued in Strange Fate. Like the main character--Sara h Strange--of Strange Fate has dreams about all the other Night World Characters, and I think that's where Mary-Lynette and Ash's story will be finished. But I'm not sure, so correct me if I'm wrong. But hope that helps!

I have also been reading things online. Lisa has been dealing with a lot in the time since she first started writing Strange Fate. Both her mother and her brother-in-law battled cancer and she was there to help them. Sadly, her mom passed away. These events caused Lisa to go into writer’s block for a number of years. That explains the delay in Strange Fate. She also spent a lot of time writing TVD which were eventually taken from her. Now, she is trying to put that behind her and focusing on Strange Fate. She is working very hard to make it just right for us. This is a momentous tasks because she must balance all the individual stories and the larger plot. Please, be patient and keep checking this site for updates. Book selling sites seem to be posting false publication dates.
I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but you may be better off posing this question on another Vampire Diaries fansite. (I’m sure you could google and find lots.) On this site, many of us are choosing to boycott the new series, so we will not be the most helpful people to answer questions about it. (That’s my opinion anyway. Maybe someone will surprise me and respond) If you decide that you would like to read the new series, may I suggest you get it from the library or share with friends to help reduce the number of copies actually sold?

I think the two petitions we have will be sufficient. Anyone without Twitter can sign the other one. Did you know each petition has over 3000 signatures? I think our most powerful weapon is going to be the boycott, though. Basically, every fan will be either supporting Lisa or supporting Alloy by whether or not they buy Phantom. If sales are low enough, Alloy will be forced to Change.
For that, I thank you L.J. You are an amazing writer, and I look forward to reading Strange Fate.

L.J. Smith will not be allowed to write anymore Vampire Diaries. It was taken from her and given to a ghostwriter. She has fought long and hard to prevent/reverse this decision, but Alloy (the book packaging company) will not budge. This was allowed to happen because of a “work for hire” clause in the original contract she signed in the ‘90s when she really didn’t understand what it meant. Phantom was written by L.J. Smith, but the publishers told the ghostwriter to rewrite it. (All future TVD will be written fully by the ghostwriter) However, they will still say “Created by L.J. Smith”. I cannot help with summarizing the books because I plan to boycott them. If you have any other questions, let me know. Sorry if I misunderstood you initial question.
And also, I'm really really really excited for Strange Fate because I have barely anything to read atm, what with the next installments in House of Night and Percy Jackson not coming out till Autumn
And, also, what is with this Big Debate about whether Sage is straight or not? I can't read the books without wondering now! lol. . . I don't think it matters either way, I know somebody who isn't straight but I respect that and, anyway, they're a lovely person. So, I think it would be nice if Sage was gay, just to broaden people's horizons a bit!

Although you can read the Night World in any order and not really miss that much, it's much more enjoyable if you read it in order, because little details come back in later books.

Yes, we do spell favorite without the “U.” Americans leave “U” out of a lot of words (labor, color, flavor, etc.) I think it has something to do with pronunciation and word origin, but I won’t bore you with a language lesson. ; )

But here's an idea. When the books come out, open up MSPaint and create graphics to print out and leave in every book at stores in your area:
"This was not written by L.J.Smith. Harper Alloy fired her. Email or write to complain:

Print out dozens of those graphics on basic paper and place these just inside of every Phantom book you find. Don't forget the ones behind the face front.

I think Lisa has mentioned getting some names from fans. She has asked a couple people on GB if she could use their names. In the Night World guide book it said she got Thierry’s name from graffiti on a bathroom door. So, I guess she probably gets them from a lot of different places.
FYI there is a site called babyhold.com that has lots of neat names. They let you search names from different countries. They even have categories like exotic names, cool names, celebrity names, etc. The names include meanings so that might be helpful if you’re naming a character with a notable trait. I hope this helps. BTW thanks for the info. about Change.org. It put me in touch with issues that are important to me.
