This book started in its classic ways and didn't really surprise me. I have been a huge fan of these books since the first one came out and was so excited to see what would happen to Damon now that he'd recieved his humanity from the kitsune. The first couple of chapters weren't that exciting because it was pretty much a review of old books but after it picked up it was amazing. It took twists that I wasn't expecting and at the end I cried like a baby. I am looking forward to the next book and I highly recommend this to everyone.
