logo_tvpixieBased on the book series by The Vampire Diaries author LJ Smith, The Secret Circle comes to Sky Living next week.

The Secret Circle is a romantic drama with a supernatural twist. Cassie is a normal teenage girl but when her mother dies in an accident, she moves to live with her grandmother in the small town of Chance Harbour, Washington, where the residents seem to know more about Cassie than she does. Strange things begin to happen and her new friends reveal that they are all descended from powerful witches, and they’ve been waiting for Cassie to join them to complete a new generation of the Secret Circle.

What Cassie and the others don’t yet know is that darker powers are at play, powers that might be linked to the adults in the town, including Diana’s father and Faye’s mother – and that Cassie’s mother’s death might not have been an accident.

Do we need another paranormal drama? It seems fans of the genre have not yet sated their thirst for the supernatural. The Secret Circle joins Sky Living after British drama Bedlam topped the channel's viewing figures this spring.

The first of thirteen episodes of The Secret Circle airs next Wednesday, 28 September, 8pm on Sky Living and Sky Living HD.
