Winner Names Within Few Days.
Sorry fans but I just received an updated news from a family member that she is still very sick with the flu. Let's give her some time to get well before the list of winners can be posted. Those prizes aren't going anywhere so for now we should all send her possitive energy for quick recovery.

Winner Names Coming Soon...
Fans, we are going to have to wait a little longer to post the names of the twelve winners. It might be few days before we get the names. Lisa has been sick with severe stomach flu. So, be patient. You can use this time to think "happy thoughts" about which prize filled stocking you might have won...

THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.
This contest is now closed and the entries are being gathered to be randomly selected by a third party. • When they are selected, they will be informed by e-mail, and the Prize Winner/s will have her/his first name posted in the Blog. THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING. GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!
Contest Prizes:
I guess this is the biggest contest we’ve had yet. Twelve people will win a beautiful Snowflake Stocking, packed with trinkets, ornaments, sugarplums, and some genuinely nice jewelery, if they’re lucky.
INTRODUCTION:
All twelve winners will be given a Snowflake Stocking. I realize that not everyone in the world celebrates Christmas, not even as merely a fun chance to exchange gifts. I do actually know that some friends go ahead and celebrate Christmas and Hanukah, or Christmas and the New Year. And, of course this is also the time of the Winter Solstice, the shortest day in the year. What I’m trying to say is that I hope no one is offended by the choice of socks, and that the winners will enjoy their Snowflake Stockings as pretty containers, if nothing else.
THE WINNERS will each receive a twenty inch high stocking, full of fun items. Here I have something very important to say. If you receive a red velvet rosebud or long stemmed rose, DO NOT THROW IT AWAY! It is a ring box, and you may be throwing out a $50 to $500 ring! (This is just a range; it might be even more expensive.) Each winner will receive several trinkets, items of jewelery, and, I hope, something that they really like in this mystery grab bag. If a ring doesn’t fit on any of your ten twinkling fingers or toes, then you might think about having it sized or swapping it—but not on the Forum please.
GRAND PRIZE:
Tiffany Key Circle Daybreak Sunshine $2125THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER, in addition to the other stocking items, will receive a box from Tiffany’s. Now, wait, they won’t be the only ones to receive a Tiffany box, but inside THIS box will be THE CIRCLE DAYBREAK RING, which is over 2 inches long, and cost over $2000. It is a gorgeous depiction of a sun in golden citrine and diamonds set in 18K gold, with a gold chain. If you love the NIGHT WORLD and want to take your soulmate to Circle Daybreak, this is the perfect way to show it off. If you just think it’s a gorgeous necklace—and it is—you can wear it to bring some sunshine to the winter days a-coming in.
WHO CAN ENTER:
All 12 of the Stockings are for world-wide residents, although you will be responsible for any customs or duty taxes which may be levied by your government (this does not apply to entrants in the USA, obviously). ALSO! FORUM MEMBERS ARE PERFECTLY WELCOME TO ENTER BOTH THE "BONNIE'S OPAL RING CONTEST," AND THIS CONTEST.
IF YOU DO NOT RESPOND WHEN YOUR NAME IS POSTED ON THE FORUM, OR THE CONGRATULATIONS EMAIL IS SENT TO THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU GIVE, ANOTHER WINNER WILL BE PICKED AFTER JUST 24 HOURS. THIS IS BECAUSE THIS IS HOLIDAY SEASON AND I WANT TO MAKE SURE TO MAIL YOUR PACKAGE BEFORE THE HOLIDAY.
CONTEST DURATION:
THE SNOWFLAKE STOCKING CONTEST will run from NOVEMBER 12 to DECEMBER 1. THIS IS A VERY SHORT TIME. GET YOUR ENTRIES IN QUICKLY!
THE REST:
Also one winner per street address and one entry per email address—and I mean this. I can see on my Outlook program how many times you have entered and extra entries will be deleted. And don’t go to the trouble of making a bunch of extra email accounts, either, because it’s likely that you’ll forget them or the password by December 1, 2011 and then you’ll lose your prize.
Good luck in the SNOWFLAKE STOCKING CONTEST!
HOW TO ENTER: – Using this site's eMail form.
1. Press the icon
below.
2. Select "Contest" under the "To" field (Current Contest Title will automatically fill in for you.)
3. In body of email, WRITE YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME (FULL NAME) AND YOUR FULL ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER. IF YOU DON’T FEEL COMFORTABLE DOING THAT, DON’T ENTER THE CONTEST. FOR THE UMPTEENTH TIME, I HAVE NO INTEREST IN SENDING YOU ANYTHING BUT YOUR PRIZE, AND WOULDN’T KNOW HOW TO SELL YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IF I WANTED TO. AGAIN, DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST IF YOU DON’T FEEL SAFE SENDING A FULL ADDRESS (IF YOU WIN YOU’RE EVENTUALLY GOING TO HAVE TO SEND ONE ANYWAY,) Also, you may write any additional message you like to me, L. J. “Santa” Smith. Then click "Send."
4. Retype the "Verification" text. (If you are registered Forum Member then Verification is not needed.)
5. Click "Send." You are done!
NOTE: FOR THIS CONTEST, SADLY, THERE WILL BE NO RESTITUTION FOR LOST PRIZES. I WILL SEND THE STOCKINGS BY UPS, SAFELY, AND IF YOU HAVE GIVEN A CORRECT ADDRESS YOUR PRIZE WILL COME TO YOU. IF NOT, IT IS AN ACT OF FATE, BECAUSE I HAVE NO ADDITIONAL STOCKINGS AND STUFFINGS TO SEND YOU. IF YOUR PACKAGE GOES ASTRAY, I WILL TRY TO GET UPS TO RE-ROUTE IT TO YOU, BUT THERE ARE NO SUBSTITUTIONS!!

I want to make sure that everyone knows that in the pics above there are both prizes and trinkets--and sometimes it's hard to tell how much something cost. For instance #1 a lovely looking pink sapphire bracelet, is very striking but is made with color-treated stones. It cost less than the humble looking black and white flower necklace, #32, which is made of real black and white diamond s--no color treatment--and, although rather petite, is a genuine diamond necklace. There is also a pair of genuine 1.0 carat diamond stud earrings (not pictured) that will go into one of the stockings. The stunning blue topaz and dark sapphire ring (#4) is more expensive than the blue topaz heart right beside it (#5) but on the hand I like #5 better, and I got a number of them, because they are striking and beautifully made. (#4 is beautifully made, too--it's a matter of taste here.) There are also many prizes that didn't make it onto the picture table.
Oh, yes, and #30, the thing that says Little Black Book on it is a Tiffany's tradition--a Tiffany's Little Black Book for your appointments, ideas, whatever. And #45 is a Tiffany's platinum leather envelope, for keeping credit cards, driver's license, or little messages in.
So play with your trinkets; wear your prizes proudly and have a Happy Holiday Season.
I don't think its a coincidence to see a parallel between the books and the author as amazing overall! The books are a thoughtful and wonderful gift for the reader just as the forum and giveaways are also well-thought and above and beyond what a fan would expect! LJ Smith fans are some of the luckiest fans around
Just saw this - I'm down with a bug, have been missing the site but I had to say - I LOvE YOU!
Because Your Worth It...
Heard you are sick - I hope you get better, I know I had the flu and it can be very trying for a person.
You feel and look bad, but keep up the fluids.
I'm alittle better, hope you will be to.
lol xxx
2.Can you enter twice with the same name and two different addresses?
I can not answer the #1 but I can certainly answer your questions #2. If you get caught sending in more than ONE entry, you will likely be removed from the contest. So don't do it!
All of her contests are amazing, but I absolutely love that ring with the little rose on top! It's just so cute!
Thank you L.J.!!!
I can't read other languages but if you PUT YOUR ADDRESS ON SEPARATE LINES the way your address looks when a letter is sent to you, I can copy it.
Quoting vincelle: No.
I can't read other languages but if you PUT YOUR ADDRESS ON SEPARATE LINES the way your address looks when a letter is sent to you, I can copy it.
I'm so sorry, but I still don't understand what you mean Miss Smith, can you show me with a picture or something?I apologize for your inconvenience.T hank you.
If you are able to type up the address in the language that you speak then Lisa can accept it but if not then you need to covert the address in to ENGLISH and send it in. I'm sure you'll figure out how.
No, I do not think so. I've stated few posts above that you might type up the text and send it to her in your own language but I will have to retract this. Here's why: the UPS store clerk will have to be able to type up the address using the alpha numeral keyboard. They simply will not be able to type up anything other than alphabets. Hope this clears up the confusion.
If you are a Registered Member of the Forum, then the Verification might not show up. A cool benefit of being a member.
LOL.
Whoa there, dear Administrator. I deliberately called some of the aforementioned stocking-stuffe rs "trinkets" Some of these prizes are quite expensive. Some are not. And the strange thing is that some of the more expensive things are not nearly as impressive and well-made as the less expensive ones. That is why I avoided putting prices on the prizes. It's also why I promised that each stocking would contain several "trinkets" and at least one really nice item. I would have to be a deca-millionair e and out to ruin myself to offer best-quality sapphire bracelets and ruby rings the size of your fingernail. Some of the pictured prizes above are much daintier than they appear or have color-treated stones. They are trinkets that I hope put a smile on your face (X 12). But I do promise that in each stocking will go at least one item that is both lovely and well made. I could have simply offered the key alone, but I thought this way would be more fun. There will also be "sugarplums" and "ornaments" in all of the stockings. I hope I've made myself clear.
Try to send the email anyway and then the page will reload and you will have to make sure that the contest box is selected again but the verification code should show up
Beautiful prizes
If we are fortunate enough to win, can we pick the stockings, i love a certain ring and necklace and will dare to Hope regardless of my karma when it comes to competitions.
Thank You Lisa for such awesome prizes and making me wish at 26!
Well, Sophia, there won't really be any way to tell what is in any of these stockings. I will try to fill them up so that they each are worth about as much as any other, but even I won't know (because many of them will be in the same kind of boxes) which is which. Email me if you have any further questions about a particular ring.
Thanx for your reply.
I Love You!
Sofia
You are entering to be one of twelve winners who will receive a stocking full of gifts. Read carefully on what is REQUIRED then send that in.
Thank you so much, Emily. Twelve seemed like a big number when I decided on this (from the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas" actually) but so many people have entered. I wish I could give everyone a stocking, really. But even if I could afford it, I'd be living on the street, with Victor begging for scraps.
It must be an active number. If you not have VM then naturally you should put a number where you can be reached.
Just the copies? Plural? I think you could probably remember if you'd entered twice already . . . if you enter four or five times they'll all be deleted. Twice and the copy will be deleted.
Quoting Nerissa:
DO NOT ENTER AGAIN. It would be safer to just wait for the "YOU HAVE WON!" email to come through. Check your emails regularly near the time when the winner are being announced. You can always check back to site for the list of winners.
I'm sure if you were one of the lucky selected then Lisa would reach you via email or phone. Make sure you provide the country when that contact is made.
No. What you end up receiving is the final. Unless I hear otherwise from L. J.
They don't sell clip earrings at many stores anymore--and in any case I have very few earrings to give away. I don't think the situation (you winning + earrings in your stocking) is likely to come about.
Thanks.
We have two overlapping contests going on right now.
The Bonnie's Opal Ring Contest is the forum members only contest. That is going on right now.
This new contest you've posted under just started a day ago and is called: Snowflake Stocking Contest is brand new and it is for everyone, members and non-members. Hope this is clear.
Sorry for making you reply to me, especially since your fingers must hurt enough form posting all of those fantastic prizes.I just didn't want to chance it.
I'll keep my fingers crossed then.
Send my love to L.J. and keep up the great work!
Based on the rules already stated, for the lack of complete information required, you are already disqualified.
There are already more than dozen of you "excited" fans who've done exactly the same thing that you've done and it would be tough to remove these entries manually since I do not get them. These entries are routed directly to a specific email address and opened once the contest is closed by an independent attorney for drawing.
Good luck.
You are so very welcome, and again--I wish every fan would win a stocking. Next time I am going to have a big contest in the Forum for members only. That will probably spur those lurking to come out and make one little post.
Rosa, thankyou!!
I'm glad you like them, Angel, but now please remember that some of the "prizes" are mere trinkets and others are reaal, heavy, well-made prizes. Don't be disappointed if your "prize" turns out to have color treated stones, or fits on your pinky finger only. Still, as promised, everyone will get one really nice prize.
A Very Merry Christmas..xx
At this time you don't have a choice but to send it again FULLY COMPLETED AS REQUIRED. As is, your entry would have disqualified since you do not have the address as required. Good luck.
Lisa you are definitely the best.
I've never won a contest before and I really hope that I'll win this one.
The truely gorgeous jewlery... and I've never had a sugarplum in my life! This would be the perfect occasion!
I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed!
You needed to input all the requested information in the "Message" box. Please read the directions carefully once more then resend. Consider your next entry as your last, anymore than two entries and your chance of being deleted completely is very high. Good luck.
Good Luck everyone! ^^
It doesn´t matter that some of the prizes are only trinkets, because they´re still gorgeous.
Wish me luck!!!
But I feel sooo stupid right now, I just reread the email I sent and I realised I forgot to put my city in my address! How can I fix that?
This is such a thing for me to do. My friends actuallly have a word for these kind of stupidities, because I have at least one clumsy moment every single day!
Love,
Cynthia
does it matter if u live in a country wich is tiny (well: gozo)? its a place near malta and if u dont know were that is its basically near italy and also just to say if i do win i hope i get prize number 12
Most sincerely
I bet that Ms. Smith will smile when she reads your post!
All the prizes are beautiful!!!
Thanks L.J. "Santa" Smith
P.D. Sorry if my english is not very good.
However, this is a wonderful initiative, as the other... Will make many girls happy=D
That's a really good question Alessia... I would like to know too because I just write my data
Can't believe I didn't see this comment......
You are welcome :) I have honestly never seen nor heard of an author with as much devotion to his/her fans as you - you honestly belong as one of your characters in a book! Too lovely for words
And yes, she gave them to charity. We never throw anything in the bin unless it is really broken - and the only thing "wrong" with your books was that the spines were very well-worn! But I have been promised Book 1 for christmas and will hopefully go from there ;)
Thank you!
... Did you check the outbox of both email accounts?
If you send more than one you will be deleted.
I think that you are a wonderful person for allowing fans to participate in a contest such as this. Thank you so much!
And best of luck to all of you other contest entering people out there! :)
If you enter again with identical information there is a good chance that you will be removed from the contest. I chance it if I were you.
There is no guarantee that you would not be removed prior to twelve selections. It is crucial that you read ALL THE RULES OF THE CONTEST before you enter. Lisa would have more contests in the future, I would really pay attention to each and every part of the contest instructions in the future.
When I entered the contest it said nothing about including those things. Thank you though.
I would just leave well alone and not send in another entry. Lisa tends to send off emails to winners so as long as you have that information then I think you are safe. Just wait for the winning draw. Please read the process on how the winners are chosen. I can not say it enough on why everyone entering the contest NEEDS TO READ EVERY SINGLE WORLD OF THE CONTEST PAGE! Just make sure to follow the rules next time. Cheers...
The first one I made i just added my name..
So if I made a mistake in sending the first one and send in the second one does that mean i will get removed from the contest by a simple mistake? :/
Asheton, the proverbial train has already left the station. Whether it is accident or not the entries have already been placed. All we do now is just wait and see.
Who won - it is, 1st of dec?
And there are only 2$ hrs to apply for your prize.
The suspence is killing me... this is almost as exciting as one of L.J.'s books!
Thank you Misty. I know she has been carefully packing twelve stockings for the past week while she was still sick. Bet you that didn't help with her flu. Poor Lisa
love victoria
By the way, I really appreciate you creating this contest (& all contest you've ever done...)It's nice to know that you care deeply about your fans!!
We all wish you well!!
Get Well Soon*Happy Holidays
I recommend you try your advent calendar - chocolate works wonders you know! ;)
All my best - and stop working so hard! Tina x
Vanessa
I cant wait to see if ive won!!!!!!!!
I love u L.J. :)
I think that I might be comming down with something, too.
We have to stop working so hard!
Nobody should be sick during the holidays, especially not our favorite author!
Try eating a little bit of dark chocolate, it acually does help with stomach-disease s... and it tastes way better than regular medicine!
Love Cynthia
I wish the greatest of luck to all and hope L.J. Smith feels better soon.
I really hope you feel better, LJ,
Best wishes
We all are wishing you a speedy recovery. I think you're such a strong person for being able to hold all of these contests and getting the prizes ready for all of us fans despite being sick with severe stomach flu...
Cheers, happy holidays and get well soon. And an early Merry Christmas greeting to you.
Yours sincerely
Thank You for informing us of L.J's illness, hope she feels better real soon.
Best Wishes xxx
Nr.2 Dominika Warecka, Southaven
Thank you so much L.J.Smith!!!

Just finished replying my email.... Can't wait...
I've received an email from Lisa, who is still really sick that only 4 people have officially replied back using email. However, due to the fact that Lisa was and is still ill and the announcement of the winners were delayed, she has decided to extend the deadline for return email claims. I will check back with her soon to see if she is ready to provide a definitive date for the cut off. Stay tuned.
Congratulations!
Please kindly leave comments in the winners circle - would love to hear your response and see images of your stocking goodies...
lol xx
Ruq, no bother. I am waiting to hear from Lisa. I've already sent her an email so I will update it as soon as I hear back from her.
Sorry for bothering you both, but I got a question to ask. Since I'm from Malaysia and this is my first time receiving something from the US, how does it come? Does it sent to my local post office or is it sent directly to my house???
Really sorry for asking this, but this is my first time getting something from abroad so I'm actually a little nervous.
I might be able to answer that Elayne since I've shipped items to and from US to Korea, another Asian country but each country will have very distinct method for shipping. First of all I believe Lisa stated that she is shipping this using United Postal Service(UPS) which is the largest shipping/logist ics company in the U.S. Because this is an international shipment, UPS would require a fully documented and itemized list of contents inside the stocking which would require a dollar value for each item. That itemized form will then be attached to a box that was customized to protect stocking and content. Upon entry into your country, several things can happen. UPS might actually make the direct delivery of the box to you or UPS might hire local partner to make the delivery to your home. It is highly likely, given the descriptions of the jewelry contents, you will be assessed some sort of tax. Be prepared to pay for them when they either deliver directly to your or request for you to come with a payment to a pick up point. I believe what I've described above is fairly normal procedure. Do understand that tax they will charge is small percentage of overall value and you certainly will not be able to purchase any of it using the taxed amount. Congratulations Elayne. Looking forward to getting some pictures of you with prizes. Please post them liberally to the Forum. Also upon receipt, you need to post to Winner's Circle Guestbook!!
Little bit of information... When I spoke to Lisa at 1:30AM yesterday she was telling me how much of an effort was involved in the transporting of various stockings to the shipment store then she told me that how she stood there and observed clerks customizing boxes for each stocking with cushions for safe transport. Not only was all the prizes personally purchased by Lisa, but she personally packed all the stockings herself and watched over the final packaging to make sure it was properly boxed. Do that for twelve individual stockings and you know why she sounded REALLY tired for about a week. Really, I wonder how many well known author as famous as Lisa with dozens of NY Times #1 Best Sellers to her credit would do that for her fans. I think I can count that in NO hands because there wouldn't be any... You know what you are receiving is coming from Lisa's heart so please treasure it...
Congratulations to winners and Merry Christmas.
Prianka, I am sorry to hear about your predicament but unfortunately you were disqualified back in December 5th due to lack of response. If we were to bend the rules that would not be fair for hundreds of others who were following the rules. I hope you are able to participate in other future contest. Good luck...
Oh and I have to add: Prize number 11 is absolutely gorgeous! I'd love to know where Lisa got it from? It is my favourite necklace by far - and I adore number 6! Roses are kind of my thing xD Inspired by Night World I want a black rose tattoo when I'm older ;D
